The science that can transform our inner lives has for centuries been provided by the East. It has long been recognised by the seers of the ancient East that all the great arts music, poetry, dance, painting, sculpture are all born out of meditation.

Meditation techniques are numerous in number, a combination that has resulted from meditation practices adopted by Yogis and Monks in both Indian and Buddhist traditions through the ages.

The practise of meditation is present in both the teachings of Gautama Buddha in about 450 BC., and is also represented as one of the eight parts of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Buddhist and Sankrit word for meditation is 'Dhyana'.
